Col. Fulgham is Dr. Pat Fulgham's father. He was an Air Force fighter pilot and worked on the early space program. He died in 2015 at the age of 87. For several years Col. Fulgham shared his stories as an Air Force fighter pilot, early NASA researcher, and others. Videos of the lectures he gave at various UREF events are shared here. He was also a prostate cancer survivor. Dan Fulgham's first lecture was as a search and rescue volunteer for the Texas City Disaster in 1947
Dan Fulgham worked on the NASA Space Program in several areas, including development and testing of the space suit and the rigorous testing program.
Dan Fulgham participated in Operation Bolo in Vietnam in 1966. He flew the F4C in this mission which was led by Col. Robin Olds.
An accident during high altitude balloon testing of the space suits led to the story of the "Roswell Alien". Col. Fulgham was mistaken to be the alien when he was taken to a local hospital after a balloon accident.
The USS Pueblo was captured by the North Koreans in 1968. Dan Fulgham was assigned to investigate the incident.
